I'm getting started with Drafty (drafty.im) — it turns the HTML and Markdown files Claude and ChatGPT generate into a link anyone can open and comment on. Read the help guide at https://drafty.im/kb/llms.txt, then help me set it up and answer my questions.▌
Get started
- What is Drafty?Drafty turns the HTML and Markdown files Claude and ChatGPT generate into a link anyone can open and comment on.
- Create and share your first Drafty canvasTo create a canvas, push an HTML or Markdown file with drafty canvas push. You get a link to share, and anyone who opens it can comment.
- Guest vs account on Drafty, and claiming your canvasesComment on Drafty as a named guest with no signup, or sign in with a magic code to claim your canvases across devices.
Sharing artifacts
- How do I share a Claude (or ChatGPT) HTML artifact?Push the .html or .md file from Claude or ChatGPT to Drafty and you get a link anyone can open in a browser and comment on.
- Why won't my Claude HTML file open or render?A Claude .html file opens in a browser but not in Slack, email, or most phones. Share it as a Drafty link so it opens everywhere.
- How do I view a Claude artifact on my phone? To view a Claude artifact on your phone, turn the .html file into a Drafty link — it opens in any mobile browser.
- How do I embed an AI-generated page in Notion?Paste a Drafty canvas link into Notion to embed an AI-generated page as a live, scrollable iframe instead of a dead link.
Comments & review
- How can I comment on an AI-generated document? To comment on an AI-generated document, publish it as a Drafty canvas, then click any element to pin a comment to that exact spot.
- How anchored comments work on a Drafty canvasAnchored comments pin to the exact element you click on a canvas — a heading, paragraph, image, or table — and stay put across new versions.
- How do I review the changes Claude Code made?Review the changes Claude Code made by pushing the plan or diff as a Drafty canvas, commenting on the exact lines, and letting Claude ship a new version.
- What context does a comment capture?Every Drafty comment quietly records the view it was made from — the viewer's screen width, the tapped element's box, and the exact version on screen — so an agent can re-render exactly what the commenter saw.
Visibility & access
- Public, sign-in-only, and private Drafty canvasesSet canvas visibility to public, sign-in-only, or private to share a canvas privately and invite people by email.
- Can I see who's viewed my Drafty canvas?Canvas owners get a Views panel — one row per viewer with their visit count and when they were last there, including your agent's CLI reads. Only the owner can see it, and embeds don't record.
Working with canvases
- Drafty canvas modes: read-only, feedback, and liveCanvas modes control comments and Claude's role: read-only (no comments), feedback (the default), and live.
- Can I edit a Drafty canvas directly in the browser?Markdown canvases you own on Drafty have an Edit toggle for editing right in the browser. Changes save as you type, each editing session becomes a version, and Claude's pushes wait while you write.
- Drafty canvas version history: push, restore, and compareEvery push saves a new canvas version. Preview and restore earlier ones from the CLI — the link and comments stay put.
- How do I delete a Drafty canvas — and can I get it back?Deleting a canvas moves it to Recently deleted, where the owner can restore it anytime or delete it forever. Viewers see a 404 the moment it's trashed, and trashed canvases don't count against plan limits.
- How do I open Claude artifacts like an app on my phone?Add Drafty to your home screen and your Claude artifacts open full-screen like an app — no App Store, no browser bar. Here's how on iPhone and Android.
- How do I interact with a live Drafty canvas?Live Drafty canvases support three interactions: review each row (Approve it, Overwrite it with your words, or Cancel it — the next refresh follows, no agent needed), send Claude a canvas-level instruction from the dock, and read a History that only shows authored versions — refreshes stay silent.
- Can I annotate a live website?Yes — ask your agent to run drafty present on the site. Drafty turns any URL into a site board: the main screens, captured at desktop and phone width, on a canvas you can comment on like any other.
- What keyboard shortcuts does Drafty have?Drafty canvases have a small set of keyboard shortcuts — c for comment mode, v for pointer mode, n and p to walk open threads, e to resolve, and ? to see the full list, including editing shortcuts.
CLI & Claude Code
- Push and pull Drafty canvases from the CLI and Claude CodeUse the Drafty CLI to push a file to a canvas and pull comments back, so Claude and your reviewers stay on the same page.
- How do I get Claude to update my canvases on its own?One block in your CLAUDE.md turns canvases into standing surfaces Claude writes to without being asked — todos when it needs you, proof when it ships, a summary when it wraps up.
- How do I keep a Drafty canvas updated automatically?Turn a canvas into a self-updating dashboard: Claude writes a refresh script once, and a local cron re-runs it on a schedule — with no Claude in the loop, so it's free.
- Can a Drafty canvas show live data?Yes — a canvas can show data from BigQuery, a database, or any API. Claude renders the data into the canvas, and a scheduled refresh keeps it current. No credentials ever live in the shared canvas.
- What is drafty shot?drafty shot renders a canvas, an HTML file, or any public URL to an image — at any width, at any version, with a comment's element highlighted — so your agent can look at pixels instead of guessing from prose.
